Torre House, a space that embraces the sensuality …

The work is a restructuring and a general recovery of a second floor and the attic, that are located in a building of the end of ‘700.

Wrote the Master Oscar Niemeyer: “It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight line, hard and inflexible, created by man. What attracts me is the free and sensual curve. The curve that I find in the mountains and rivers of my country, in the clouds of the sky, in the sea waves, in the favorite woman’s body. It is made of curves throughout the universe. The curved universe of Einstein.”

The idea came from the thought of this genius of architecture mixed with another famous words of another great Master of Architecture and Design named Ettore Sottsass saying: “Create design and making architecture also means designing a place where, at sunset, two friends sitting on the ground tell each other, slowing, the stories of their lives.”

The entire concept was developed by combining the functionality of the spaces with the aesthetics and mixing heat in sophisticated silence of the colors very clear “ton sur ton” of gray and glossy white. Every single element has been designed and shaped to make this a unique home, the self-supporting staircase made by Masters of the iron in a hi-tech version with concealed LED lighting in the handrail, to the living area with fireplace convex flush with the wall, backlit, restoration and the total recovery of the ceiling given by a wooden warping ‘700, reported at current splendor with a careful job of cabinet makers mixed with a plaster and plastering work.

The house is much more than just a space, but it is a place with its own life and its own memory, an attractive combination of features, habits, discoveries, which results in sophisticated tactile earners, sensitive, visual, olfactory, as tiny and sophisticated communication mechanisms among men who live and objects and architecture that create it.
